This policy explains what personal information Chartford Consultancy collects through chartford.in and our software tools, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

What we collect

• Details you give us. Your name, email address, phone number and company name when you submit an enquiry, download a free tool, request a guide, or subscribe to our compliance reminders.
• Licensing information. When you activate a paid tool we record your email, the activation code, and an identifier derived from your computer. This exists solely to enforce a one-computer licence. We do not read the contents of your computer or your accounting data.
• Anonymous usage data. A count of how many times an article is read. No cookies are set for this and no individual is identified.

Your Tally or accounting data is never transmitted to us. Our tools process it on your own computer.

Why we use it

• To send you the file, guide or reminder you asked for.
• To answer your enquiry and provide the services you engage us for.
• To issue and enforce software licences, and to send service messages about them.
• To meet our legal, tax and professional record-keeping obligations.

What we never do

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not send you marketing on behalf of anyone else. We do not share your data except with the service providers listed below.

Who processes data on our behalf

We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. Payments are handled entirely by the payment gateway on its own secure systems.

How long we keep it

Enquiry and subscriber details are kept until you ask us to remove them. Licence and transaction records are kept for as long as the law and our professional obligations require.

Your choices

• Every marketing email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
• You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to care@chartford.in.
• We will act on such a request within a reasonable period, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to personal data is restricted to people in the firm who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data.

Children

Our services are meant for businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page.
