Refund and Cancellation Policy

This policy applies to software tools and digital products bought from Chartford Consultancy. Our professional service engagements are governed by their own engagement letters.

Try before you buy

Where a free trial is offered — for example the five-day trial on our financial statements tool — we strongly encourage you to use it. It is the surest way to confirm the tool suits your setup before any money changes hands.

The 7-day window

• You may request a refund within 7 calendar days of the date of purchase.
• Write to care@chartford.in from the email address used at purchase, quoting your order ID and, if you wish, what did not work for you.
• We acknowledge within one working day.
• On approval, the licence is deactivated and you must stop using and delete the software.

How the money comes back

• Refunds are made to the original payment method only.
• We initiate the refund within 3 working days of approval.
• Your bank or card issuer usually credits it within 5 to 7 working days after that.
• We do not charge a cancellation fee.

Failed, duplicate or wrong payments

If money was deducted but no licence reached you, or you were charged twice, tell us and we will refund the full amount — the 7-day limit does not apply to these.

What is not refundable

• Requests made after the 7-day window has passed.
• Free tools and free trials — nothing was paid.
• Cases where the licence was obtained by misrepresentation, or the software has been copied, shared or tampered with.
• Professional service fees for work already carried out.

Cancellation

Our tools are one-time purchases, not subscriptions, so there is nothing recurring to cancel. If we ever offer a subscription, you will be able to cancel it before the next renewal date and it will not renew.
